Delicious words

The writings of Nick Bantok intoxicate me deeply. I'm breathing into a far different world, one that strains just outside of my touch. It's inspiring, and beautiful.

I discovered at work that there were two more books in the Giffin and Sabine story that I was not aware of. I'd love to read on, but it seems that my copy of the Gryphon, fourth in the series, is still at my parent's home... and I've not read that one yet. *sigh*.

I am satiated with another work of his, The Venetian's Wife, which is absolutely fascinating.

I fear it will distract me to deeply from Book of Shadows. It seems silly to worry about abandoning the characters in a book like it's some kind of adultery, but that's what it -feels- like.

Not only that, but I'm requiring ever more distraction from my growing, internal unrest. Is it just this winter? Still, white, stagnant... is it my spirit balking at this newfound stability? It remains to be seen. I'll take what pleasure in it I can, and try not to let it damage me.

I just need to get the Gryphon from the 'rent's house. Have you read The Venetian's Wife? It's fantabulous, as I've mentioned.

Excellent *goes back to her worship of this particular author*

(I dreamed last night that I was talking to Nikki (a fellow bookstore employee) and she swore to me that Bantok was a woman.

And then, the dream turned into a child's cartoon somewhat akin to the Rainbow Bright I used to watch. o.O
