(no subject)

All of you on my friends list, anyone else who happens to be reading this journal, hear me now.

In a few months, there is going to be an election. If this is coming as a surprise to you, you need to log off the internet, and destroy all media devices in your home immediately. You all need to vote (that is, all of you in the US). I don't live in one of those states that matters. Our three, meagre little electorial college votes are going to be Republican, no matter how I vote (fuck, probably no matter how ANYONE in the state votes). But I'm going to vote anyway. Because that's all I can do, right now, to sway this country away from the dictatorship or police state it is trying to become. Not only is the Bush administration trying to subvert the public and keep it ignorant, but it is trying to stop the election. Is this raising red flags in anyone elses mind?

Just do it.

I just got my official notice of my registration to vote a couple of weeks ago. It made me gleeful.

And Remember, Vote JAYE POWERS in 2004

Though I live in Kansas, where democratic votes are but babies' farts in full-grown republican whirlwinds, I will vote. And I am spouting off at every opportunity, you have my solemn word.

Yea. I live in the same kind of a place *sigh*. But, spread the word to the rest of them, those in the pivotal states.

Vote for Jaye!
