I really enjoy cooking things in my waffle iron.
Ingredients:
1 tube refrigerator biscuits of your choice.
1/4-1/3 C butter
1/2 C white sugar
1/2 C brown sugar
1 Tbsp cinnamon (maybe two? you may have to eyeball this and adjust, I used a fair amount.)
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Apple butter
Unroll and cut the biscuits into small pieces (8 per round worked well). Melt the butter in a bowl large enough to accommodate the biscuit bits; add sugars, cinnamon, and vanilla.
Toss your biscuit pieces in the butter-sugar sauce. They will stick together, just get it mixed up pretty thoroughly.
Spoon into heated waffle iron. If you have one that has settings, I cooked mine on a generally medium heat/time. They expand a fair amount, be sparing until you know how far they're going to puff up. Don't fill the waffler with biscuits, it will end badly for you. Cook until done through, they should be pretty tender on the inside and pretty crisp on the outside. And they will come apart, so don't worry about that. Serve with apple butter.
Yep, that was pretty fucking delicious.
