Augh, part of me can't believe I'm doing this. I'm actually writing some of the myth. It's trajectory is
clocksong. If you want to hear anything about the crazy that I believe to comprise the wider world, you can go ahead and add me over there. I may not filter you in right away, or ever, and for that I apologize in advance. This shit is scary, and I'm trying.
I will not make any account for what is allegory and what I believe to be objectively true, and I will not make much of one for what I know from conjecture and what I know from experience. Those things are mine and mine alone. Sometimes, I find words that work for these things from a lot of different sources. They're never perfect, but we live in a broken place, and with only 2/3 of the conceptual verbiage that I need to describe existence entire, I do what I can. Consider it semaphore if you must.
(Edited to add: if you're already added on there, and you want to see business, comment. The above admonition stands, lovelies. Sorry I'm such a weirdo.)

On having a vivid imagination:
(6:00:01 PM) thisseverance: That image is just perfect.
(6:00:13 PM) thisseverance: You, running into hills, clutching your groin.
(6:00:33 PM) jesusmcmurphy: Singing Iron Maiden.
(6:00:36 PM) thisseverance: yes.
(6:00:44 PM) thisseverance: RUN TO THE HILLS
(6:00:46 PM) thisseverance: RUN FOR YOUR WAAAAANG
(6:00:50 PM) jesusmcmurphy: RUN FOR YOU...
(6:00:55 PM) jesusmcmurphy: Wow.

Epic Fail! I have no paper (that I can find) to mark the darts for the McCalls top I was going to make out of the purple brocade. Were it earlier in the day I would have persevered and gone to get some, but it's getting dark, and Jeremy's car is in the shop, leaving my only mode of transport to be the scoot or the bus which are both kindof negated by darkness unless the travel is really necessary. I'm changing my plan to a shirt with a similar feel (actually, when it's done I might be able to wear it as a short dress! I mean, short for me, which is like, at least to the knees) that's loose (read: no darts), has the mandarin collar and the little side-seam thingy in the front, and ties in the back. I have some black and white silky (mostly black, I made a handkerchief-skirt out of some of it a while back that I enjoy a great deal) that ought to do the trick. It ties in the back. Wish me luck!
PS: Question
Feb. 1st, 2008 11:46 amHave any of you got experience keeping a regular dream journal? Either public or private, computerized or written longhand...
If so, how do you keep it? Do you write down all the dreams you have, or just ones that seem particularly vivid or interesting? Does it help you remember dreams better when you wake up, with practice? Does it help you have more control over your dreamscape?
I figure, everything - every stimulus, pleasant or otherwise - is some kind of resource. I might as well start trying to make use of more of them.
