I'm gonna disagree for a second... on that quote about the kids.
Iraqi children, for the most part, LOVE US. Everytime I leave my compound they come pouring into the street so they can wave to us, they don't harbor any bad feelings towards us, and as far as I can tell, no kid has ever tried to kill me. Any hatred they might have on us later will be the result of what their parents make us out to be, and that's in the case of the parent being a former person that used to be iin the good graces of Saddam.
