The Ants Go Marching: Tokyo Drift

There are still ants:
Trying to get into our freezer.
Periodically attacking the soap.
Generally bothering me.
Today, as I was picking up last night's dishes to put in the dishy, an empty cup that Jeremy had drank soda out of was filled with creepy crawlies. I picked it up, flushed some down the sink, put the rest in the dish washer. We left one alive to take our terrible message back to the colony.
Let this be a lesson! There will be no survivors!

NOOOOOOOO!!!
Date: 2008-03-17 03:35 am (UTC)The reason ants follow paths is because they're made by the scouts. If an ant returns with the goods, they know that path to be safe. If they return with nothing, the path is marked as neutral. If the ant(s) don't return, then the path is marked as dangerous. Letting one slip by could still indicate to them that the path to your goodies is still okies. There are billions of them you know :_P
