Apparently, the God of Law thinks it's funny to send me jury summons when my life is at its most unstable point, and close to when I'm supposed to be undertaking a major, cross-state move. 

The God of Law would think it's funny to do something like that, specifically to people like me.

/shake fist.  Fucking Order.

I might be able to get out of it since I am supposed to be moving... and I had to sit on the jury last time... I can't remember how long that makes you exempt from having to do it again though.

The other thing you could do is postpone it for several months (I think up to six). Then when they try to summon you again, you tell them you moved.

Ugh. Sucks though.

Health conditions would exempt you as well. Anything that would require you get up and leave while court is in session such as irritable bowel syndrome or dizzy spells ect.
