I want everyone who reads this to ask me 4 questions. Any 4, no matter how random. I have to answer them honestly. In turn, you have to post this message in your own journal, and you have to answer the questions that are asked of you.

What are your greatest fears?
What are your greatest hopes?
What is magic?
How does magic work?

1: My greatest fears. That's a good one, considering my interesting and overdependant relationship with fear (Read: I fear a lot. Almost everything). I fear losing people I care about... that's an obvious one. The people I love are the most important thing in my life, and any harm coming to them is a thought I can hardly bear. I fear losing myself. I have had a lot of very beautiful, intense, personal, frequently 'occult' spiritual experiences. My beliefs, and my spiritual evolution over the last few years has been unconventional, to say the least, and I have a great terror that all of those things will slip away from me as I age and come closer and closer to the mundane, material world that is embraced so unquestioningly by most people. I also have a profound, foundationless phobia of firearms. I can't really explain that one any further than that, but I'm getting over it in increments, as that I'm hopefully going to be working as an armed security guard after may of '06.

2: Had you asked me this a year ago I would have told you that my greatest hope was to leave this world for another. This is no longer so. My greatest hopes now are to continually gain a greater understanding of God, my walk with the divine, and how that all plays into afore mentioned unconventional spiritual evolution. I also have immense hope for my present relationship, and its very bright future.

3: What I consider magic, I believe to be the effect of energies we cannot otherwise see, experience, or document on the material world as we percieve it. When these energies interact with what we concieve of 'mundane reality', it manifests itself in ways that we do not understand with our language, mathematics, science, and otherwise 'good sense'. It takes many shapes, and is described in a huge array of ways that vary with personal experience, both inside and outside of the occult.

4: I have no idea, honestly.

1. How many Peaches can fit in the cup of your bra (without your breast in it)? Apricots?
2. What is your most important posession? Not a person, or a trait or talent... a thing... what is the most important thing you have... or what thing you have is most important to you?
3. If you could staple any two things together, and they would be bonded permanantly together by this mystical staple, what would they be and why?
4. If i got one eye horribly damaged and had to wear an eyepatch do you think i'd look sexy?

1.
[20:01] Bran:: hehehe you answering my queries?
[20:01] Marie.: I'll have to think harder about those than I did about Turning's.
[20:01] Marie : I'll answer them
[20:01] Bran: hehehehehe
[20:01] Bran: especially the peaches one
[20:02] Marie.: Well, the only way to r eally answer that is to expirament.
[20:02] Marie: I'd say one peach, or one and ah alf maybe, and maybe four apricots.
[20:02] Marie.: No, definately only one peach.
[20:02] Bran: haha bull!
[20:02] Marie.: well, comfortably.
[20:02] Marie.: half a peach in my bra would make it very messy
[20:02] Marie.: and two peaches wouldn't fit

2: My most important material possession… probably my computer. Either my computer or my car, realistically. They would be the hardest to lose. I gain the most enjoyment out of them, and they allow me to do the most things.

3: This is the most difficult question you have asked. I really can’t think of anything right off that I would want permanently bonded to any other thing. O.o. This may take further conversation

4: You’d totally be sexy in an eyepatch. You don’t even have to have one eye totally damaged to wear one, you realize… you could totally have the best of both worlds. :D

1. If you could rid the world of the existence of any one person, and you had to pick one or we'd all die, who would it be and why?
2. Do you promote a ban on flag burning, why or why not?
3. Do you find long leather trench coats and the thin, pale boys in them attractive?
4. Do you believe our thoughts create the language we use or that our language guides the thoughts we have based on the limitations of word and intellect choices?

1: I’m inclined to say Tom Clancy. He’s a terrible author, he’s not writing his own books, he’s not doing anybody any particular amount of good, and killing him would not cause irreparable tremors to world stability that would ultimately do more harm that good in arenas that I give a damn about.

2: I do not promote a ban on flag burning. It is a means of expression and protest that has existed within the rights of citizens of this country since its birth, and I don’t believe that we should be taking rights away from people according to the will of a group of holier-than-thou political advocates who hold the American flag in place of ‘the cross’ and the American president in place of the messiah. In this day and age, blind nationalism has replaced radical religious faith, and I believe both to be ridiculous and more harmful than helpful. Secondly, the infringement of absolute property rights that is made when you tell somebody that they cannot destroy something that they bought and rightfully own in the eyes of the law would throw all kinds of other rights that was have onto unstable ground, and we don’t need that. We have better things to be thinking about as a country, especially if we’re bent on going out into the world and converting the heathens to democracy. That said, I believe that people should be more educated about the symbolism of the flag. Ask anybody, most know very little about the symbolism of the flag. Some seventy percent of surveyed highschool students in this country already believe flag burning to be illegal. The old adage comes around, don’t talk about what you don’t know.

3: I do, but the image comes with some bitterness to me. I had a boyfriend of exactly that description who took his own life last summer, several months after we broke up. Whenever I see one said thin, pale boys in long leather trenchcoats out of the corner of my eye, part of my mind thinks it’s him.

4: The former. There is too much in my mind and heart that I am unable to express with the language that my mouth knows for that language to be guiding my thoughts. That said, I do tend to think in English… but the more German I learn, the more interchangeable the words become as they move into the more heavily-used bits of my head. So, thought most certainly dictates language, in my opinion.

I disagree... Tom Clancy has caused the production of some Awesome videogames, and i know some people who would be very sad indaviduals if their personalities hadn't been shaped by said games.

haha, and Brian, who i believe would be worse off than John, because john would have found something else to aid him in his climb to adulthood, as we had books and roleplay and the like.
